Elemental iron is an essential dietary nutrient. Any residues present on fruit or vegetables, or systemically available from skin contact, are indistinguishable from the iron of environmental origin. When the bait is consumed by snails, the low pH in the snail’s gut activates the product, forming an iron salt that causes the snails and slugs to stop feeding, protecting your plants and leading to the death of the molluscs.

Excellent product and fast delivery
I’ve had a dreadful plague of snails and have collected bucket loads over the last few months. I’ve tried beer traps and caught a few but they preferred my plants. My pestrol snail bait arrived a couple of weeks ago and I’m amazed at what is now flowering. I’ll be sure to keep using it regularly. I have a small dog and feel confident that he will be safe.

Works a treat on snails and slugs but the packaging was dodgy with the closer welded shut and unopenable.
This product is awesome. I had so many snails and slugs. After sprinkling this around, I now only have empty snail shells. And my dog has shown NO interest in eating this bait.
