    Executioner Bug Zapper - Midsize

    The Executioner Bug Zapper is a compact version of our larger XXL model, designed to combat flying insects in outdoor areas. This device incorporates the latest Australian technology for effective pest management.

    Improved Efficiency

    Our new model operates at 18W, down from the previous 30W, reducing energy consumption while maintaining effectiveness. The updated globe technology actually improves insect attraction rates, making it suitable for large backyards.

    Insects simply get electrocuted when they touch the inner protected high voltage grid (Industry-leading innovative high voltage grid for durable use to ensure increased killing rat).  The insects then drop into a removable dry storage chamber. Great to add to the garden for extra nutrients.

    The vertical grid design allows for direct dropping of eliminated insects, minimizing maintenance compared to horizontal grid models.This bug zapper offers a practical solution for those seeking to reduce flying insect populations in their outdoor living spaces.

    The UV lamp has been designed to produce a peak light output at a wavelength of 365nm in the UV-A band.  Mosquitoes and other light-attracted pests are naturally attracted to this wavelength. Attracted pests include mosquitoes, moths & midges – pests that are most active from dusk till dawn.

    How to Use

    1. Install 2+ meters above ground, away from other lights and human activity.
    2. Plug into a standard outlet. Unit operates continuously when powered.
    3. UV light attracts flying insects; high-voltage grid electrocutes them.
    4. Clean regularly:
      • Empty collection tray
      • For thorough cleaning: Unplug, discharge grid with insulated screwdriver, brush off insects
    5. Replace 18W UV-A lamp as needed.

    Note: Use as part of a broader pest control strategy for best results.

    How do you open the unit to clean out the bugs? Or do you just shake it till they fall out? Brendan Walsh asked on 14 December 2024

    Hey Brendan,
    When you need to clean your Executioner Bug Zapper - Midsize, there's a small collection chamber on the bottom of the unit, twist that to remove it and remove any dead insects. If there are insects caught on the zapping grid, unplug the unit and discharge the grid (you can discharge by using a rubber or resin handle screw driver to make contact with the grid briefly). Once discharged, brush the dead insects off.

    Alternatively you can use an air compressor to blow the dead insects off the grid.

    You could use the Executioner Bug Zapper - Midsize indoors, but be mindful not to place it near competing light sources to make the unit's UV light more attractive to flying insects.

    Bugs are no longer being zapped when they touch the unit. Is there something that I need to do to clean it? Renee asked on 29 September 2024

    Hey Renee,
    If there are dead insects stuck to the electric grid of the Executioner Bug Zapper - Midsize, this could cause the charge buidling up in the unit to be dispersed against the insect that's stuck, so cleaning any debris off the grid is important. To do so, first turn off the machine and then using a rubber or resin handle screwdriver, make contact with the electric grid to disperse any charge left over in the unit. Once that's done, using a small brush, clean off any insects that are stuck to the grid, and then switch it back on as needed.

      Not good for moths despite the description saying otherwise. The spacings in the cover too small to allow moths through which is what we were targeting. Great for small bugs & insects though

      Service, delivery and quality of the product all good. However, I bought this as a FLY zapper, it nails moths, frys mozzies But the only flys its killed are the ones that died laughing at it. You need to make it crystal clear that it does not work that well, (and thats being kind) for flys. If your bug is a mozzie or moth your’e cheering.
