DT Brown Pea Sugarsnap Seeds
The DT Brown Pea Sugarsnap seeds help you grow one of the most versatile Pea varieties. Picked young, they can be consumed as mangetout, as they mature, you can cook them like French beans or wait till they are fully grown to get peas in a pod that can be consumed normally. Tasty and versatile, they can be cooked or eaten raw.
How to grow
Sow the seeds in flat trenches 15cm wide, and 5cm deep. Plant seeds into dark, damp well-prepared soil in a zig-zag fashion along the middle of the trench, allowing 7.5cm between them. Fill trenches with soil and gently firm down. Where more than one row of peas is required, allow 90cm between rows.
Protect the crop from birds with netting or black cotton during the early stages of growth. We advise using sticks or twigs to support the crop as this is a climbing variety and it will make picking easier and improve yields.
Seedlings emerge 7-10 days. Keep well watered once germinated.
Harvest in 14-16 weeks after they are sown.
