Anti Climb Fence Spikes for Cats and Possums – Clear 5 Metre Pack that comes in 50cm pieces. Ideal for all types of fences, walls, gates and ledges. These clear spikes will assist with:

The spikes are designed to maximise discomfort whilst ensuring there is minimum harm. These spikes can be used to keep your cats in and stopping other animals from coming in.
Made from weather-resistant polypropylene and are super tough to stand the harsh Australian climate.
Installation:
They come in 50cm pieces. They can be broken into 3 pieces just through bending if required. The spikes are similar to our Flexible Cat and Fence Spikes and can be installed as an edging if required.
They can be attached with glue, nails or screws. Many customers use them on tree branches or sheds and you can easily drill more holes if required.

Awesome product in theory, however it has yet to determine my cat from jumping the fence as she’s found a way around it. It would help if it was wider and also had a lip to cover the top of the fence, ensuring it can’t be climbed or jumped over. Still trying to readjust mine every couple weeks until I’m satisfied she can’t get out, or I’ve just wasted money. Happy but not happy.
My cats have climbed the fence with the spikes on occasion. If they were younger I am not sure the deterrent would work but my opinion is not evidence. Part of the 4 not 5 is the effort in attaching such small sections

Works really well. The cats do not like it on their paws. After a couple of attempts to try walk across them, they have stopped coming in.

Possums don’t like walking on them but can still manage to do so. We use this in conjunction with the possum deterrent device and the combination makes them uncomfortable enough not to stay.
Works extremely well
Spikes seem to be doing their job! The possum gave up trying to eat our roses, which are situated on the hanging planters along the balcony rail. I became a detective and pieced together what happened… Possum jumped down from the roof onto the air conditioning unit, discovered there were spikes across the rail, and then tried to jump onto one hanging planter. There was a small smashed piece (of the spikes) lying on the ground, so I assume the weight of the possum leaping onto the planter broke the spikes where it contacted. The grapefruit tree (overhanging the balcony) had one of its leaves pushed through the spikes, so possum must have had an ouchie! Then it leaped onto the next hanging planter, got scared, did a big poo (brushtail size btw) and exited its way down the camellia tree. Happy to say, no roses or rose leaves were harmed in this latest incident (that I could see)!!!

These solved the issue with our cat climbing onto tree to get over the neighbours fence. Purchased one for a medium tree, along with 4 possum spikes which I attached to fence to help stop cat jumping over neighbours fence. Cats havent been jumping over now, so am happy with the products purchased saved me lots of money was considering a feneline enclosure to contain cat in backyard, if this didnt work. So am happy I tried this first. Thanks Pestrol.
