Warranty Coverage

Pestrol offers a 12-month warranty on most of our products, demonstrating our confidence in their quality and durability. For our range of Globes, we provide a 6-month warranty, ensuring peace of mind with your purchase. This warranty is voluntarily offered by Pestrol and is designed to complement your consumer rights, not replace them.

Outdoor Furniture Warranty Policy

At Pestrol, we are committed to delivering high-quality outdoor furniture that is built to last. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for our outdoor furniture, ensuring you have peace of mind with your purchase. Our warranty is provided in addition to any rights or remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Warranty Periods

  • Structural Warranty: All Pestrol outdoor furniture is covered by a 1-year structural warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers defects in the frame or internal structure of the furniture.
  • Exclusions: Surface wear, fabric fading, and damage due to improper use or external environmental conditions (outlined below) are not covered under this warranty.

Warranty Coverage

Our warranty ensures that if your furniture has a manufacturing defect, it will be repaired, replaced, or refunded based on the following guidelines:

  1. Repair:
    If a product defect can be repaired, Pestrol will arrange for the repair to be conducted by a qualified professional. Repairs include fixing any material or workmanship issues affecting the structural integrity of the furniture.
  2. Replacement:
    If a repair is not possible, or the same defect occurs after an initial repair, Pestrol may replace the item with an equivalent model. In cases where the exact model is no longer available, we will offer a similar product of equal value. Replacement parts may differ slightly in color or texture from the original due to material variations.
  3. Refund:
    In cases where neither repair nor replacement is viable, or if the same major defect recurs, a partial or full refund may be offered based on the extent of product use and the defect.
  4. Costs Associated with Repairs and Replacements:
    • Any freight or transportation costs related to repairs, replacements, or product returns are the customer’s responsibility.
    • Labor costs for repairs are also not covered by the warranty and will be charged at standard rates.

Exclusions

This warranty does not apply in the following circumstances:

  1. Fair Wear and Tear:
    Normal wear and tear, including fabric fading, scratches, and softening of cushions over time, is not covered under the warranty.
  2. Neglect, Abuse, or Misuse:
    Damage caused by improper handling, using the furniture for unintended purposes, or failing to follow proper care instructions will void the warranty.
  3. Weather and Water Damage:
    Exposure to harsh outdoor elements, including excessive rain, sun, and humidity, can lead to rust, corrosion, or waterlogging, which are not covered under the warranty. It is recommended to use protective covers and store furniture in covered areas when not in use.
  4. Accidents and Natural Events:
    Any damage caused by fire, smoke, lightning, explosions, infestation by animals, theft, or third-party accidents is excluded from the warranty. This also applies to damage caused by exposure to extreme temperatures or UV light.
  5. Defective or Repaired Products:
    Furniture sold as floor stock or with pre-disclosed defects is not covered under the warranty. Products that have been repaired or altered by the customer or an unauthorized third party are also excluded.
  6. Abnormal Use and Environmental Exposure:
    Instances where the furniture is used in a manner beyond its intended use, including in commercial or industrial settings, are not covered. Damage from exposure to chemicals, improper cleaning agents, extreme weather, or moisture is also excluded.
  7. Commercial Use:
    This warranty applies to residential use only. Furniture used in commercial settings (e.g., hotels, offices, or restaurants) is not covered under this warranty unless specifically noted at the time of purchase.
  8. Freight and Labor Charges:
    Costs related to transporting the product for repair or replacement, as well as labor costs, are not covered under the warranty and will be charged to the customer at standard rates.
  9. Replacement Parts:
    Replacement parts provided under warranty may vary slightly in color or texture from the original due to natural product variations.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you believe your product has a defect covered under this warranty, please follow these steps:

To maximize the lifespan of your outdoor furniture and keep it in the best possible condition, we recommend following these care tips:

  • Use furniture covers when not in use.
  • Clean regularly with mild soap and water, avoiding harsh chemicals.
  • Store indoors or in a sheltered area during extreme weather.

Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Additionally, you have the right to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not qualify as a major failure. This warranty acknowledges and supports your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and any other applicable legislation.

Making a Warranty Claim

Should your product be defective within the warranty period, Pestrol agrees to repair the item, provide a replacement, or offer a refund or store credit for the full purchase price, subject to the terms and conditions of this warranty. The warranty period for your product begins on the delivery date to your nominated address, or three days after dispatch if proof of delivery is unavailable.

  • Normal wear and tear, including but not limited to battery expiry.

Liability

Except as required by law, Pestrol’s liability under this warranty shall not exceed the purchase price of the goods. We will not be liable for any loss or damage to software or data stored on products returned to us for repair or replacement.
