Description

Yates Liquid Copper Chelate

Yates Liquid Copper Chelate is an easy-to-use liquid trace element for your plants if they have a copper deficiency. You can easily detect copper deficiency as plants begin showing yellow on younger leaves and die-back of tips in young shoots. The copper deficiency in plants is more common in sandy or acidic soils than in clay soils. So, it provides the copper that these plants need. It is recommended to apply this chelate as a foliar application that delivers copper directly to the deficient leaves for optimum results. It also means that there will not be a waste of this solution if you apply it to foliage rather than soil. We also have Yates Liquid Magnesium Chelate and Yates Liquid Iron Chelate in our product range.

Ingredients:

Copper (Cu) as copper lignosulfonate chelate 1.25% w/v

Directions for use:

General Application:

Application – Alleviate copper deficiency symptoms
Method – Foliar spray: Recommended* – Spray to lightly wet the leaves, before the runoff. NOT for stone fruit
Rate – Mix 10-15ml in 1L water. Apply with a garden sprayer
Frequency – Every 2-4 weeks
Timing – Apply when symptoms appear. Reapply as necessary
Area – 1L/15m2 depending on the size of plant canopy

Stone Fruit:

Application – Alleviate copper deficiency symptoms
Method – Soil drench: Only recommended for stone fruit
Rate – Mix 15-30ml in 5L water. Apply with a watering can
Frequency – Every 2-4 weeks
Timing – Apply when symptoms appear. Reapply as necessary
Area – 5L/5m2 – apply to moist soil around the plant

Apply to leaves as a fine mist. For optimum results reassess plant symptoms every few weeks to decide if further applications are necessary. Begin treatment as soon as symptoms become visible or early in the growing season if a deficiency is known to exist. It is best to apply many smaller amounts rather than a single large amount.
