Wood Hardener – Turbo Rot Fix 1 litre uses the latest self-crosslinking emulsion technology where evaporation of the water activates a ‘sleeping’ catalyst. This catalyst causes the liquid resin globules suspended in the water (i.e. the milky Rot-Fix emulsion) to crosslink and polymerise into a solid plastic, tightly bonding the rotted wood fibres together again into a fully-hardened base for the repair to bond to.
This convenient new spray-on product hardens, waterproofs and protects rotted timbers before re-forming and repairing.
It penetrates into soft rotted wood fibres, restoring them to near original strength. This means you can repaint even the most damaged wood, ready for full restoration. Simply apply to a DRY surface, leave it to penetrate (approximately 24 hours), fill and paint!

Wood Hardener - Turbo Rot Fix 1 litre is designed to harden, waterproof, and protect rotted timbers by using self-crosslinking emulsion technology to bond wood fibers together. However, it is not specifically formulated to treat chemical delignification, which involves the breakdown of lignin in timber, compromising its structural integrity
Coverage depends on the wood's porosity, but typically, 1 litre covers approximately 8-10 square metres. For a 20m x 15m deck (300 square metres), you would need around 30-38 litres. Always check the product label for exact coverage and application instructions.
Wood Hardener – Turbo Rot Fix strengthens and stabilizes wood but does not provide the same protection as decking oil. For long-term protection against moisture and weathering, it's recommended to apply a decking oil or similar product after the wood hardener has cured. Always follow the product label for guidance.

It would be a good idea to treat the rotted timber prior to applying Turbo Rot Fix. If the issue is still present in the wood it could cause further decay and the filler might not hold to the surface.

To apply Turbo Rot Fix 1 litre you would start by cleaning the affected area and remove any loose or decayed wood.
Ensure the surface you're trying to fix is dry before applying the product. Shake the bottle and apply the product liberally to the rotted area using a brush, or a spray bottle.
Allow the product to soak into the wood. For deeply rotted areas, apply multiple coats, allowing each coat to soak in before applying the next one.
Let the treated area dry completely. The curing time can vary depending on the wood's condition and the amount of product used, but will usually take several hours to a day.
The product will harden the wood fibers, creating a solid base for further repairs.
Once the area is fully cured, you can proceed with additional repairs such as filling gaps or holes with Builder's Bog
Sand the surface smooth once the filler has dried, then prime and paint, or stain as needed.
