The Thermacell Mosquito Repeller effectively repels mosquitoes, flies, and other flying and biting insects. It does this by creating a barrier of insect-free comfort. The Thermacell is perfect for use while gardening, BBQs, camping, fishing or just hanging around the backyard. Thermacell Mosquito Repeller has been evaluated by the APVMA for safety and effectiveness.
Convenient and portable, you can take the Thermacell anywhere to repel up to 98% of mosquitoes, sandflies and midges over a 21sq metre area. The Thermacell is simple to operate, a single butane gas cartridge (included), heats an insect-repelling mat that releases Allethrin into the air. This is what repels the insects.
It is also safe to use, does not contain DEET, there are no open flames, smelly or sticky sprays or oils. There is no mess at all.

This product is very expensive to run.We have found that the mat and gas to not last the stated four hours it would be more like three.Also if you have not used the mat for the full length of time and you do not cover it it wastes ,this is not stated on box.This is not a product I would recommend.
