Hey Brett,
Surefire Couma Blocks Rodenticide are approx. 3cm x 3cm x 3cm in size and do have a central hole so they can be wire tied to bait stations.

Is this product dog-friendly for all breeds of dog? Grant Reynolds asked on 23 March 2025

Hey Grant,
Surefire Couma Blocks Rodenticide is not dog-friendly and can be dangerous for all breeds of dogs. While it contains coumatetralyl, which has a lower risk of secondary poisoning compared to some other rodenticides, it is still toxic if ingested directly by dogs.

The active ingredient, coumatetralyl, is an anticoagulant that can cause bleeding disorders in dogs if consumed. Even though it's considered a first-generation anticoagulant that generally requires multiple feeds to be lethal, large single ingestions can still poison dogs.

To minimize risks:

1. Always use rodent bait stations in areas where pets are present.
2. Store the product securely out of reach of dogs.
3. If you suspect your dog has ingested any amount of rodenticide, contact a veterinarian immediately.

It's important to note that no rodenticide is considered safe for dogs. If rodent control is necessary in a household with dogs, it's best to consult with a pest control professional about pet-safe alternatives or use non-toxic methods of rodent control

  1. I like the convenient bucket and that they are first generation rodenticide, so less likely to cause secondary poisoning to the wildlife. Very easy to put in my bait stations and car engine bay.

  3. This is the best. I use around my chicken coop. And in my roof it’s the best my dogs are not affected by this.
