If the Solar Cat Repeller is at the front of the house and the dogs are in the back, I doubt they will be bothered much by the device, as it will have the house as an obstruction between the unit and their space.
For best results, try to keep the Solar Cat Repeller in line with where the animal is approaching.

As for how long it would last without constant sun charging, this would really depend on how frequently it activates, but you should get approx 6-10 hours once fully charged.

The purchase process and delivery was smooth and the Repeller was received within about 8 days. On reading the instructions I set it up to repel vermin rather than cats. We’ve not had any cats come to that part of our yard but we’ve still had the odd mouse or rat as evidenced by the consumption of the ratsak we leave outside.
I think it works. Neighbours didnt like it facing their home, so we adjusted it, but it was about their 6 cats in the first place.
It worked! Recordings from my security camera confirmed that cats and possums felt very uncomfortable near this device and left my patio. Some cats returned a second time, only to leave immediately. I’m so happy cats are no longer spraying on my patio and possums aren’t eating my potted plants.
