How does the Solar Animal Eliminator work?
Ultrasonic sound waves – The unit produces strong ultrasonic waves to frighten the animals. The sound is produced when an animal comes in the detection range of the device. These sound waves make the animal feel uncomfortable and they tend to leave. These sounds are above the normal hearing range of most people.
Strong flashing LED – The LED light can be activated if one of the + frequencies is selected on the device and it flashes whenever an animal comes in the detection range of the device.
Setup Instructions:
- When you unbox the device, you will find screws & a stake that needs to be attached to the device.
- Place the unit pointed towards the area you want to protect (For example, in the garden, against the wall or fence).
- Remember to choose a place where the solar panel at the top of the device can get enough sunlight.
- If you mount the device in the ground, insert the spike into the ground and leave the spike 12cm or more above the ground.
- The device can also be mounted on a wall or on a fence.
What settings should I use:
There are two controls on the front face of the Solar Animal Eliminator.
Sensitivity – The device automatically activates when sensing the animal entering the area. The device can be set to 7 sensitivity settings. Setting ‘7’ detects motion up to 30 feet away; each lower setting decreases its distance sensitivity. So select your desired sensitivity setting.
Frequency – You can adjust the frequency depending on which pest you want to repel. By turning the knob clockwise, you increase the frequency. By default, the knob is on OFF.

Things to Note:
- The device is water-resistant, but do not immerse it into the water. Immersing in water may damage it.
- Some humans may hear the ultrasonic sounds when its set at the lowest frequency. If you hear the sound, increase the frequency to a higher level.
- For optimum solar charging efficiency, it is recommended to clean the solar panel from dust and dirt once in 2-3 months. For best results wipe clean with a damp cloth using a small smear of WD 40 or Silicon.

Works well so far as I have not had to clean up after cats. I’ve observed the cats staying away from our lawn since this was installed.
Seems to be working, no dogs using my front lawn! Fingers crossed this continues.

Worked great for a few weeks… then the neighbours cat came back last week. Not sure if it’s less effective due to the rain we’ve had or if the neighbours cat worked out a way around it.
Have now purchased the one with the water spray. Fingers crossed.
I put it on the settings for cats and dogs and it stopped a neighbours male cat leaving a smelly poo on my lawn every single night/day. I cannot tell the difference between the various frequencies as they sounded the same, but that isn’t so important to me as it achieved my goal.
After several days, ignored by birds

My Cherry Tomatoes were disappearing. Since putting the Solar Animal Repeller in, nothing has been touched. Highly recommend.

Was sceptical about this device however decided to buy due to neighbors cat using my front and back lawn as it’s personal loo, as well as the excessive magpies swooping in my front yard and lingering in the trees… 3 days in and not a bird in sight, and no more cat poo! Thank you so much!
Happy with this product. Seems to be keeping the dogs and cats away from doing their business on my front yard and the nature strip. Had a neighbour who could hear the frequency but once we adjusted it he was fine.
I really wasn’t sure if this would work. I was at my wits end with the neighbour’s cats using my garden as a toilet. What a relief to see the product actually working on my cat cam! Wish I could upload the actual footage.

Seems to be keeping my destructive dog out of the garden. We have a large garden so really need a few more to cover the area.

I give the batteries an external charge occasionally as the solar panel looks miniscule.
