Why choose the Solar Animal Eliminator?
Ultrasonic sound waves – The unit produces strong ultrasonic waves to frighten the animals. The sound is produced when an animal comes in the detection range of the device. These sound waves make the animal feel uncomfortable and they tend to leave. These sounds are above the normal hearing range of most people.
Strong flashing LED – The LED light can be activated if one of the + frequencies is selected on the device and it flashes whenever an animal comes in the detection range of the device.
There are two controls on the front face of the Solar Animal Eliminator.
Sensitivity – The device automatically activates when sensing the animal entering the area. The device can be set to 7 sensitivity settings. Setting ‘7’ detects motion up to 30 feet away; each lower setting decreases its distance sensitivity. So select your desired sensitivity setting.
Frequency – You can adjust the frequency depending on which pest you want to repel. By turning the knob clockwise, you increase the frequency. By default, the knob is on OFF.

Changing the position can aid in the prolonged repelling power of the device. Alternatively, switching the ultrasonic frequencies from time to time can also assist, or by using the strobe light function on the device.

The Solar Animal Repeller - Eliminator can work to deter possums by scaring them with its combination of Ultrasonic and Strobe lights. The unit is motion activated and will only trigger once it detects movement in front of it.
As for whether it would effect your dog, if your dog is in proximity to the unit, they may hear the noise that it emits, but dogs being so personable, can react in different ways. If your dog is inside and the unit's outside, they would have a hard time hearing it through the walls.

Is keeping Possums and Rats from stripping a range of plants of their new shoots. We Have removed the mesh and wire netting we have had protecting them for the past 2 years. That was only 50% successful .Now full new growth everywhere.
Works well so far as I have not had to clean up after cats. I’ve observed the cats staying away from our lawn since this was installed.

Worked great for a few weeks… then the neighbours cat came back last week. Not sure if it’s less effective due to the rain we’ve had or if the neighbours cat worked out a way around it.

I put it on the settings for cats and dogs and it stopped a neighbours male cat leaving a smelly poo on my lawn every single night/day. I cannot tell the difference between the various frequencies as they sounded the same, but that isn’t so important to me as it achieved my goal.
