Selleys Pro Trade Glass Sealant

Selleys Pro Trade Glass Sealant is a UV and weather-resistant silicone sealant that is suitable for windows, glasses, mirrors, splashbacks, bus, boat, factory assembly, expansion joints, weather sealing, solar panels.

Selleys Pro Trade Glass Sealant can be used as both an adhesive and sealant. It is suitable for most common building and glazing substrates and it does not corrode metals.

Surface preparation:

• Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of dirt, grease, oil or water.
• Metal and glass surfaces should be cleaned with general-purpose thinners or mineral turpentine and allowed to dry.

How to use:

1. Cut nozzle at 450 angles to desired bead width and apply to the substrate using a sealant gun.
2. Tooling time is 5-10 minutes.
3. Tack free time is approx. 1 hour.
4. Some surfaces may need a primer. If so, allow the primer to dry before applying sealant.
5. Use approved backing material for joints over 10mm deep.

Limitations:

• Not suitable for structural glazing.
• Not suitable for submerged joints where porous substrates permit water to the binding interface.
• Not suitable for aquarium construction.
• Should not be applied in contact with bituminous materials or some rubber products as these may contain components that can migrate into the sealant and result in staining or reduced performance.
• Complete painting before applying sealant, as the sealant cannot be successfully painted over.
