Selleys Liquid Nails Clear
Selleys Liquid Nails Clear is a construction grade high strength adhesive that can blend into the surface and dries thereby reducing unsightly mess. It is suitable in places where a fine finish is essential.
Liquid Nails Clear provides a flexible bond to respond to the building movement and it is also UV resistant.
Available in size:
80g and 250g
Can be used on:
- Moulding and trims
- Skirting boards
- Architraves
- Particleboard to masonry surfaces
- Tasks where nailing is not desirable
Suitable for materials:
Timber, particleboard, MDF, glass, metals, tiles, ceramics, fibreglass, painted surfaces, carpet, concrete and most plastics.
How to use:
- Do not swallow. Use in a well-ventilated area. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Pierce foil seal before inserting into caulking gun.
- Ensure surfaces are free from oil, grease and dust. Wipe off any pooled water from wet timber.
- Cut the cartridge tip and pierce the membrane. Fit nozzle and cut to the desired opening (5mm) then insert into caulking gun.
- Apply a bead along the length of one bonding surface. On broad flat surfaces apply beads every 40cm.
- Position pieces and press firmly together. Immediately fix with sufficient nails, screws or clamping to hold the load and achieve contact over the total bond area. Repositionable for up to 20 minutes after fitting.
- Allow adhesive to set (minimum 24-48 hours) before removing any temporary fasteners or clamping. Use with mechanical fasteners in high-stress applications.
Cleaning up:
- Uncured products may be removed with mineral turps.
- Cured products can be removed by scraping or sanding.
