Selleys Kwik Strip 

Selleys Kwik Strip is a solvent-based paint and varnish remover that works quickly. It has a thick consistency that allows for non-drip application on vertical surfaces. Paint, lacquer, and varnish can be removed from wood, metal, walls, and other comparable surfaces with this product.

How to use:

Use outdoors only – Methylene Chloride vapour is harmful to health on prolonged exposure. Move item to be stripped to an open, shady outdoor area to ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid inhaling fumes. Wear gloves.

1. Apply a thick, even coat, at least 1mm thickness, with a paint brush.
2. Allow 15 minutes for the paint to blister completely before scraping or using steel wood to remove it. Depending on the quantity of oil paint layers present, a repeat application may be necessary.
3. Scrub the surface with warm water after that. If the surface is water-sensitive, such as wood, any residue should be allowed to dry before being sanded.
4. Allow the surface to dry thoroughly and remove any residue by sanding before repainting.
5. Wash applicator brush in water. Tightly close the lid after each use.

Limitations:

• Fiberglass, PVC, acrylics, linoleum, rubber, and plastics are not appropriate for use.
• Kalsomine, penetrating stains, and several specialised industrial finishes are not removed.
• Strippers based on methylene chloride can discolour some woods.
• If using a transparent finish, test the stripper on an inconspicuous spot first.
