    I have an avocado tree growing very close to my lawn. Is it safe to use is scotts lawn builder grub and insect so close the avocado tree ?which is about to start fruiting. David asked on 25 September 2024

    Hey David,
    Scotts Lawn Builder Grub & Insect Fertiliser shouldn't have any effect on the tree.

    From the packaging, the only cautions mentioned are as follows;
    • DO NOT apply when daytime temperatures are expected to exceed 30ºC.
    • DO NOT apply within 2 metres of water (ponds, creeks, dams and drains).
    • DO NOT allow containers or granules to get into drains, sewers, streams or ponds.
    • DO NOT feed grass clippings from treated areas to poultry or other animals.
