The Predator Outdoor Fly Trap – Extra Large is the premium and most robust fly control product that we offer. This is an essential item when you live in Australia and need to tackle the fly problem with extra force.
Natural Organic bait, no chemicals or poisons so that means its safe around your family and your pets.
The natural bait is placed in the plastic chamber at the base of the fly trap and water is added, an attractive scent is released for the surrounding flies. The flies will enter from the bottom part of the trap, and from there, they will fly up through the funnel and out into the outer chamber. The flies will not be able to escape and will be air-dried and dehydrated. This makes this trap different from others on the market. The special ventilating cover design prevents flies from falling down and laying eggs in the water. No messy flies or horrible soupy waste to get rid of. Each bait will last 3-6 weeks, depending on fly infestation and time of the year. When the trap is full, contents can be emptied into a hole in the garden, to become an excellent organic fertilizer.

Predator Outdoor Fly Trap - Extra Large
Hey Maggie,
You could place the Predator Outdoor Fly Trap - Extra Large in an area like that, however, be aware that, like most fly traps, this will use a scent based lure. Placing it directly at the bins could lessen the effect that the unit will have in luring the flies as it would be placed to a source of strong odours.

I wouldn't recommend placing the Predator Outdoor Fly Trap - Extra Large any where near your entertaining areas. These traps are designed to lure flies to the area of the trap, the less stimuli you can have around it, the more likely it will be for flies to thoroughly examine the trap and get caught.

Some sunlight would be beneficial to kill off flies caught in the Predator Outdoor Fly Trap. When using scent based traps like this one, I wouldn't recommend having it on the deck, but locating it in a space a few metres away to draw the flies to that location instead.

For the Predator Outdoor Fly Trap - Extra Large, you'll want to fill the basin at the bottom with approximately 1L of water and mix in the 50g bait sachet.

For the Predator Outdoor Fly Trap - Extra Large, you would want to have the trap positioned far away from any entry points (like your back door, or windows) as the smell of the bait is what will be attracting the flies. You'd ideally want to be diverting them away from congretating at the house's entry points, by luring them over to the trap instead. Sun is always preferably as this aid in speeding up the flies demise inside the trap.

Great product and works well. Sadly water gets inside when it rains and flies can lay eggs.
Great design that separates the attractant liquid from the captured flies meaning that you done end up with the ‘soup’ from other designs. Did not smell all that bad but works very well. Highly recommend it. Plus Pestrol provide solid and quick responses to any questions you might have after purchase.
Works well and made to last by the looks of it, the only negative is it gets water in it when it rains.

Due to our ducks and chooks we used to have a decent number of flies. This smells worse than the ducks but it sure works!! Was half full in a week and nice to not have to do much to clean it out.
