    What is the difference between the “Max” model and the regular version? Are bulk discounts available for the “Max”? I have three large homes to protect.     The Rodent Free Max features a more powerful Electromagnetic function than the Rodent Free, it also has the plug at the bottom of the unit for any power points that are sitting too close to the skirting on the floor. There's a pet-friendly mode included on the Rodent Free Max to disable the Ultrasonic function at the touch of a button.

    Having the Pestrol Rodent Free Max closer to the ground where rodent activity would be more prevelant would be ideal, but the sound should reach to the ground even if elevated. That being said, a better alternative for rodent control in your garage would be our Pestrol 360 Rodent Repeller

    Will one Pestrol Rodent Free Max be sufficient for a 3 bedroom home with the usual other rooms all on the one level? Thanks Aline asked on 6 February 2025

    While the Pestrol Rodent Free Max is stronger than our Rodent Free, we would still recommend 2-3 units for a 3 bedroom home. This is less to do with the strength of the electromagnetic and more to do with the circuits around the home. Some larger homes will typically have multiple circuits separate from each other, having multiple units ensures that you're leaving no dark spots around the home and shifting the rodents from one area to another.

    Hey Matthew,
    If you have your ear right next to the Pestrol Rodent Free Max, you would hear a faint ticking and buzzing noise coming from the unit, but if you're standing away from the machine, you shouldn't hear anything.

      Awesome product. Live in a townhouse. Had a major problem with rats/mice between floor cavity. Installed two one upstairs and other downstairs. 3 weeks later all gone. Couldn’t be happier. Also appears to help with cockroaches

      Great product. Live next door to lovely bushland park (moved in a year ago) but have had 5 roof rat infestations over the last 10 months. Issue being noise they create and eventual decay odour as they take bait as they cannot escape ceiling cavity. Have tried to find point of ingress egress without success. Plug in the pestrol and problem fixed. Zero rats. An effective and more humane solution. Many thanks
