    Will this system work for rats in my ceiling, I have a three bedroom one story house, I thought I would have to install something in the ceiling, but will this be effective, and where would be the best area to place it? Thank you Kerry Pegler asked on 15 January 2025

    The Pestrol Rodent Free can get into the ceiling space, as one of the repelling technologies it uses is an Electromagnetic Pulse which will travel through the wiring of your home. If the ceiling space has sufficient wiring, it should scatter the rodents in the roof. The best area to place the device would be in a room below where you're hearing majority of the rodent activity.

    The Pestrol Rodent Free is designed for indoor use, so long as the unit isn't exposed to the elements it should be fine. Provided the cabana has sufficient wiring in the roof space on the same circuit where you would plug the unit in, this should help flush the rats out by using the device's electromagnetic function.

    Will the unit be effective in repelling rodents if the room they’re most active in only has wiring in one of the walls? The affected room is an old garage conversion with no outlets within the space however it shares one wall with the main house Jordan asked on 4 January 2025

    If the problem area is within that wall cavity, then yes, the Pestrol Rodent Free would work in that scenario, but if the problem is inside the garage itself, perhaps an open-air unit would be more suitable.

      We have always had problems with roaches/mice in our work building, being a tattoo shop this has also meant that we needed to work extra hard in order to keep everything sanitary.
      Traps were only ever a temporary fix and created new problems of horrible smells when the unfortunate victims would pass away in the walls.
      Pestrol has practically solved any problems we once had, I have only seen 1 roach since installation over the Christmas break and have notice no new mice droppings anywhere in the affected areas, will 100% be looking at more in the future.
