The Mozzie Free trap comes in a sturdy, rugged and long-lasting stainless steel construction with 3 beautiful colours to choose from:
Pestrol’s unique Mosquito Trap Technology uses a 3-way defensive plan for insect control. A UV-LED light produces a warm, bright light that attracts insects to the unit. The Mozzie Free unit itself also produces very small quantities of carbon dioxide, which is irresistible to mosquitoes. Once attracted to the unit, the powerful fan draws the insects and mosquitoes into the retaining cage where they dehydrate and die, typically within 24 hours.
Boosters (Common name Octenol) – Australia has over 300 kinds of mosquitoes, most are easy to attract nonetheless some are harder that’s why we have the optional boosters to increase attraction.

Works well but doesn’t have the range I expected
Bought this unit to help reduce the number of mozzies we’ve been getting recently due to the hot and wet weather. I feel like it has helped reduce the number of mozzies but also does catch a lot of moths. I wish I could upload a photo! I’m not sure how it will go without an attractant as it came with one in the box but so far seems to be working well. It does require power to operate. It was easy to set up and looks nice as well which is a bonus. I feel more at ease being in the backyard and would definately recommend this to anyone.

This works so well! Living near a lake we leave ours on 24/7 to keep the immediate population of bities low and it doesn’t disappoint! It also looks stylish and is smaller than I realised – silently (almost!) brilliant under the patio. Wish I could add a photo of our catch…hundreds (without any attractant)
Looks good and works well; good to see a dried collection of mosquitoes and moths at the bottom of the unit.
So far after 6 weeks of use my family have noticed less mosquitoes around (esp. larvae in stagnant water after bouts of rain)*. We’re heading into winter so will be very keen to see effectiveness during warmer months later in the year. (*Note: have also placed Solar Mosquito Zapper in the garden, so this may have also helped)
Very well built, but does not seem to attract the mosquitoes as well as I thought it would, even with the booster. Been running for a couple of weeks now in the garage 24 x 7, no lights at night and only a few mozzies caught. Still lives ones flying around the garage.

Seems really great at catching moths…will need to keep it on full time for a couple of breeding cycles to evaluate properly whether it is decimating mosquitos!
