The Pestrol Mighty Outdoor Mosquito Trap will do twice the area that the Pestrol Outdoor Exterminator will cover: 1 acre.
- Air-Actuated Gate System
- Our patented gate system employs a plastic board downwind of the motor which is opened by air from the powerful fan and closed by a spring.
- When the trap is powered “off”, captured insects cannot fly away upwards due to specially designed flaps that will automatically close.
Trap Placement:
- Trap location is critical for maximising mosquito-catching rates to ensure the breeding cycle is reduced as quickly as possible.
- Place the trap away from any other competing light source where possible.
- Try different locations to ascertain what is the best location.

How Does The Mighty Outdoor Mosquito Trap Work:
- 2 x Fluorescent UV light bulbs effectively attract mosquitoes and other insects to the trap.
- The unit is coated with Tio2 which aids in attracting more insects to the trap.
- Once the insects get close, a strong fan sucks the insects into a dry storage chamber from where they cannot leave. They then dehydrate and die.
- Empty the remains every 2-3 weeks. (Perfect to give your garden that extra boost of nutrients)

TRY THE SUPERCHARGED BOOSTERS TO ENCOURAGE MOSQUITOES TO THE TRAP AND REDUCE THE LOCAL POPULATION FASTER.
When using the Supercharged Boosters place them into the base of the catchment tray. This will assist with encouraging the mosquitoes towards the Mosquito Lure Trap.

Excellent-does what it is claimed to do and highly recommend
Thus is an incredible device! Specifically what stands out is the light frequency attracts mosquitoes. Many, if not most of this pest insect high violet – UV light gadgets attract few mosquitoes. I suspect it’s something about the frequency range. Without a technical investigation however, on performance against the main target for which we bought it, it’s outstanding. Highly recommended by my experience.
This model had some problems. Appears to be solved now and I have received replacement bulbs and total electronics (pcb’s). This should be the solution. Pestrol realized the fault and addressed the issue. I notice another model is available with similar specifications now.
I have commented twice previously. Three units have worked now for 5 months. Have found three of the total six fluo tubes have died in that time to date; not good. The fact that they are non standard bulbs means I have to place order through Pestrol and pay delivery on top, just for bulbs. I can see these tubes as a major issue.
I found this quite effective even in winter, so much so that I bought another one. It is a good night light and whatever I trap I feed to the fish pond. I use a timer to turn off during the day. The trap flaps work well to close. Maybe that timer could be incorporated into the next model as an improvement.
Big, bulky and noisy. I feel a little light weight for its size but as long as it stays secure it would hold up. Works well. Catches lot of insects. Have rigged up with a timer for day time off so flap works. Only need to clean occasionally due to size. Noise is biggest issue so need to locate appropriately. Same lights as zapper style and good use as night light illumination for yard.
Catches a lot of moths and mozzies and other critters, shame it’s so expensive
