Hey Denise,
You can place the Magna Indoor Mosquito Trap next to a TV, it's only using a small light and a fan to draw in mosquitoes, it would be safe for the TV.
However, you would want to place a unit like this away from other sources of lights for the best effect, if the unit has to compete with other light sources (like a TV) then it might not be as attractive to the mosquitoes.

Yes that's right, you can have the Magna Indoor Mosquito Trap Australia - White running either 24/7 by switching off the light sensor so it will operated during the day. If using daytime operation for an insect like mosquitoes, we recommend using on our our Indoor Boosters with the machine, as the main attractive power of this device is UV, which if running during the day, might not be clearly visible to insects like mosquitoes, as it's competing with the day time sun!

So far so good, as the mozzies have reduced in numbers! We bought this on recommendation from family who swear by it. Next summer will tell. Fan is a little noisier than expected but you don’t notice it after a while.

I received my order on Friday 20 August 2021 and we used it for 3 nights. It is USELESS!!!!! I used it in my kids’ bedroom for 3 nights and it caught 0 mosquito!!!!! Both of my boys were bitten by the mosquito while we used this machine. During these 3 days, we used it in living room in the afternoon and their bedroom at night. Please reconsider before purchase it.

We would always recommend having the unit in the same room as where you are sleeping before you enter the room, as unfortunately, we are slightly more attractive to mosquitoes as it needs time to do its thing. I was hesitant in buying one of these machines as I wasn’t sure how well they would work with gnats. I have been using the sticky traps to reduce and stop gnats in my home due to a new pot plant, and saw these traps online and thought I would give it a go for some added gnat reduction, so purchased from this exact company, Pestrol, through their eBay store. I purchased the white one.
I put it on last night, and within a few hours, it had already caught two, and this morning, had caught one more. It dehydrates them and they die pretty quickly too. All were dead this morning in the catcher container.
The only issue is the noise, on both high and low, so wouldn’t have this running in a bedroom- but it is in the living area and is fine to run there.
I was super impressed how fast it caught the first two gnats- its a great machine!
Great size, and looks really lovely too. Love the touch panel on the top with the timing and Auto function too.
I’m considering purchasing another in a little while.

This product works a treat. I have tried so many other mosquito traps and have never had the success I have with the Magda. An amazing product that I would highly recommend to others.
Appears to well but I find it rather noisy at night.
Our son has a clinically diagnosed allergy to mosquito bites. Reactions range from localised swelling to severe tissue infections. We have two traps in our home and are turned on 24/7.
They’re completely safe around small kids and ours are left at table height.
Every week we empty the trap and find at least two dead mosquitoes in the bottom each time.
This has reduced the number of bites he’s been getting overnight whilst asleep to nearly zero.
They are quiet to run, although if you concentrate you can hear them, but it just became background noise and wasn’t an issue for us at all.
I have confidence in these traps, and how they have helped us reduce bites from within the house.
We are delighted with this unit. Easy to use, plug in, then touch top of unit to start and good to go.
Previously we had a unit that required us to fill tray with water add detergent, and on and on it went.
This is seriously easy to use.
