    How it Works

    1. Attraction: It uses a patented, non-toxic mosquito lure to attract female mosquitoes.
    2. Egg Laying: The device simulates an artificial pond, providing an ideal spot for mosquitoes to lay their eggs.
    3. Egg Collection: Female mosquitoes deposit their eggs in the trap’s water reservoir.
    4. Egg Neutralization: The trap employs Zero-Hatch Technology to prevent the eggs from hatching.
    5. Cycle Disruption: By regularly flushing the eggs, the breeding cycle of mosquitoes is interrupted.

    How to Use

    Setup

    • Choose a shaded location in your yard, near vegetation or standing water
    • Open the unit by pressing the top button and lifting the lid
    • Install AA batteries in the designated compartment
    • Place the filter inside the unit
    • Add the mosquito lure
    • Insert the landing strips into designated areas
    • Fill the unit with water (4.25 liters)

    Operation

    • Press the power button to activate the device
    • Let the device run automatically, cycling every 3 days
    • The unit will attract mosquitoes to lay eggs
    • Zero-Hatch Technology prevents egg hatching

    Maintenance

      • Replace mosquito lure monthly
      • Clean unit and replace landing strips every 90 days
      • For component replacement:
      • Put Preventer into Maintenance Mode
      • Drain water
      • Remove used reactor and landing strips
      • Install new reactor (sticker side up) and landing strips
      • Refill with water
      • Keep device level on the ground

    What are the dimensions of this unit and where should it be placed? Is it designed to sit on the ground in the garden or does it need to be elevated and hung from a roof? Dan asked on 12 January 2024

    Hey Dan,
    The Greenstrike Mosquito Preventer 2.0 dimensions are 34 x 34 x 35cm.

    For the placement and operation of the trap, you want to have this unit placed in a shaded location, out of the wind, under vegetation and/or near standing water. It's designed to sit on the ground, it doesn't need to be elevated, as this is trying to create an enticing breeding ground for female mosquitoes so the unit can target the larvae of mosquitoes, rather than the adults.
