You could use EnsoPet Starter Mix in a compostable bag, however, composting requires oxygen, moisture and access to micro and macro-organisms, if the waste is inside a bag there is a barrier to these elements, which could slow the process.
For your second question, potentially yes, the need of Enso Pet Start can reduce over time, as it is possible that the waste will eventually break down without any EnsoPet Starter added, especially if waste is added in small amounts and the waste is aerated regularly. Adding EnsoPet Starter Mix will always accelerate the break down and minimise unpleasant smells.
