How to Use Yates Dynamic Lifter Soil Improver & Plant Fertiliser:
Yates Dynamic Lifter is a versatile choice, perfect for all garden plants. Follow the simple steps below to maximize its benefits:
- Measure the Amount Needed: An adult handful is approximately 75g, while a cupful holds about 100g.
- Application for Different Plants
- Flowers and Vegetable Beds: Blend 100g per square metre into the soil before planting. Re-apply 100g per square metre as a side dressing every six weeks during the growing season.
- Native Shrubs, Azaleas, Rhododendrons, and Acid-Loving Plants: Starting 15cm away from the plant trunk, spread 50g to 100g per square metre during spring and once more in autumn. Use the higher rate for fast-growing plants.
- Other Ornamental Shrubs & Roses: Beginning 10cm from the plant trunk, administer 100g per square metre every 6 to 8 weeks from spring until mid-autumn.
- Fruit Trees (All Types): Use 500g for each year of the tree’s age (max 5kg), once in spring and again in autumn. Distribute in shallow holes over the tree’s root area.
- Potted Plants: As a rule of thumb, use 10g for a 15cm diameter pot, or 30g for a 30cm pot and so on.
- Planting Trees and Shrubs: Mix 200g to 500g with the soil in the planting hole as it’s being filled (75g per 20cm pot size, up to 500g for large trees).
Watering: It’s crucial to water well after every application to help the fertiliser integrate with the soil.
