DT Brown Tomato Red Cherry Seeds
Britain’s favourite vegetable, Red Cherry Tomatoes are a great addition to any salads or eaten by themselves. Grow this sweet and juicy variety of tomatoes with the DT Brown Tomato Red Cherry Seeds. Add some basil and olive oil for a delicious salad or use them in other salads or pasta dishes. Allow these tomatoes to ripen on the vine for the best flavour. This crop does require staking to grow. This super juicy variety produces a heavy crop to enjoy all summer. A little smaller than regular cherry tomatoes, they are very rich in fibre, antioxidants, potassium as well as Vitamin A, C, E.
How to grow
They are best planted between early spring and early summer from October, as they grow best in temperatures around 21-29°C. Sow the seeds 5mm deep in pots or trays of seed raising mix. Transplant them to 10-15cm pots in a warm and sunny position. Transfer them to their final fruiting spot when the plant is sturdy enough. Space plants 50cm apart each way, supporting them with a stake. Water them daily, and when the first truss has set, feed regularly. Pinch out the side shoots as they appear. Can also be sown directly in their final position, especially a late crop. Seedlings will emerge in 10-14 days and can be harvested in 14-16 weeks from sowing.
