Giving you great yield throughout summer, Pickling Gherkins mature early and can be pickled sliced or whole. Grow flavourful gherkins with the DT Brown Pickling Gherkin Cucumber Seeds and enjoy them all summer long!
Sow the seeds 12mm deep, directly into their final spot. Sow 2 or 3 of the seeds in clumps, later thinning them down to the strongest seedling. Allow a gap of 40-50cm between clumps. When young plants grow 5 or 6 leaves, pinch out the growing tips to encourage the growth of side shoots. Keep the plant well watered. Seedlings emerge within 6-10 days. To be planted in Spring or early Summer and harvested in Summer or Autumn. The seeds may have been treated with fungicide. If treated, the packet will be marked. Do not consume seeds directly or feed them to any animals.
