Grow this pungent herb with the DT Brown Oregano Seeds. They produce fresh green leaves and little rose-purple flowers in late summer. Their strong flavour works well with rich dishes and to flavour oils. Traditionally used in Mediterranean cooking such as Greek and Italian, Oregano is great with lamb, cheese and grilled fish.
How to grow
Sow these seeds 0.25in deep directly into well-prepped soil. Post germination, when they are a substantial size, thin the seedlings out to their final space. Well-drained soil and a sunny, warm spot are ideal to grow Oregano. Harvest all year long, in spring and summer harvest leaves before flowers appear. Pick out the flowers to improve the picking period. Harden the plants off before they are planted outside. Indoors, they can be sown all year long. Harvest leaves all year round.
