DT Brown Cucumber & Zucchini Seed Bundle

A great, healthy addition to any meal, the DT Brown Cucumber & Zucchini Seed Bundle is a great addition to your home garden and will produce plenty of produce if cared for. The versatility of these different varieties makes them ideal for many different meals.

NOTE: The seeds may be treated with a fungicide (Thiram or Apron XL). Do not consume the seeds or feed them to any animals. It is an AQIS requirement for certain varieties of seeds to be treated with fungicide. It does not affect your crops or harm insects. If your packet has been treated it will be well marked with a warning and the seeds will be dyed a distinct colour.

The Bundle comes with:

  • Crystal Apple Cucumber seeds: A very different variety, the crystal apple cucumbers have a distinct shape and colour. Producing plentiful crops, these seeds need to be sown in their final position directly. Sow  4 or 5 seeds in clumps, later thinning to the two strongest seedlings. Allow 40-50cm (16-20”) between clumps. Once 5-6 leaves have emerged, pinch out the growing tips so that side shoots can grow. They need to be well-watered and planted in prepped, fertilised soil. To be sown in Spring or Summer and harvested in Summer and Autumn. Seeds may be treated with fungicides. If they are pre-treated, the same will be marked on the packaging. Do not consume seeds directly.
  • Long Green Cucumber seeds: Producing plentiful and flavourful produce, this variety is the one you find in the supermarket. These can be grown in any open spot that gets lots of sunlight and needs to be watered well. They do best in well-prepped, fertilised soil. Sow half an inch into the soil directly into the final position. Sow 4-5 seeds in clumps, later thin to two strongest seedlings. Allow 100cm (3ft) between rows and 40-50cm (16-20in) between clumps. Once 5-6 leaves have emerged, pinch out the growing tips so that side shoots can grow. Best planted and harvested in Spring and Summer. Treated with Fungicide. Do not consume seeds.
  • Pickling Gherkin Cucumber seeds: Giving you great yield throughout summer, Pickling Gherkins mature early and can be pickled sliced or whole. Sow 12mm (½”) deep, direct in final position. Sow 2 or 3 seeds in clumps, later thinning to the strongest seedling. Allow 40-50cm (16-20”) between clumps. When young plants have 5 or 6 leaves, pinch out growing tips to encourage the growth of side shoots. Keep well watered. Seedlings emerge 6-10 days. To be planted in Spring or early Summer and harvested in Summer or Autumn. May be treated with fungicide. If treated, the packet will be marked. Do not consume seeds directly.
  • Green skin Zucchini seeds: Grow these Zucchinis in a sunny, sheltered spot in your garden in rich soil and reap its plentiful crop of greatly flavoured and vibrant Zucchinis. An early maturing plant, The Green skin Zucchini has been widely used in European Cuisines. Sow 12mm (0.5in) deep, direct in final position. Sow 3 or 4 seeds in clumps, later thinning to two strongest seedlings. Allow 100cm (3ft) between rows and space plants 100cm (3ft) apart. Keep the plants well-watered and prepare the soil well by adding organic material and fertiliser. Best planted and harvested in Spring and Summer. Treated with Fungicide. Do not consume seeds.
  • Lebanese Zucchini seeds: Sow these light green Zucchinis in a sunny, sheltered spot and see them flourish! Best sown in rich soil, they have a sweet flavour and usually give you a large yield.  Sow 12mm (half-inch) deep direct in final position. Sow 3 or 4 seeds in clumps, later thinning to the two strongest seedlings. Allow 100cm (3ft) between rows and space plants 100cm (3ft) apart. Keep the plants well-watered and prepare the soil well by adding organic material and complete fertiliser. Best planted and harvested in Spring and Summer. Treated with Fungicide. Do not consume seeds.
