Big Smoke Permethrin Insecticide Smoke Generator doesn't list moths as one of the insects controlled by this product, only Ants, Flies, Fleas, Silverfish, American and German Cockroaches, Weevils, Spiders, Caterpillars, Aphids as specified in the Directions for Use.

Hey Meligy,
I've grabbed the general instructions for the Big Smoke Permethrin Insecticide Smoke Generator 31g, please see below;

Remove people, animals, fish and birds from area to be treated. For best results, ignite the generator late in the evening and leave area closed overnight. Place the generator on a fireproof base at least 700 mm in diameter, on a protective floor covering or in a metal bucket. To ignite, remove plastic cap from canister and, using a match, light exposed fuse. Always ignite those generators furthest away, lighting those nearest your exit last. Leave immediately after lighting smoke generators. The generator will burn for approximately 30-45 seconds, however keep area airtight for at least 3 hours after lighting. Ventilate for 30 minutes before re-entry.
