The best way the 3Fingers team has found to apply surf zinc: rub the zinc in a circular motion onto the area that needs to be covered; you don’t need to go crazy with it; the natural properties of the surf zinc will protect you. Once you have covered the desired area, reapply another thin layer and go get some waves. Use the mirrors/windows of the car were available to assist in coverage!
How often should I top up 3Fingers Surf Zinc?
Apply 3fingers Zinc as recommended and you will get extended urf time out of it. We recommend to re-apply every 3 hours.

3Fingers is designed to stay on so you can spend more time in the water, so it can be hard to remove from garments. Our team members always suit up first and then apply 3Fingers to the required areas. If you get 3Fingers on your wetty or rashie, wear it with pride. For other clothes, we recommend scrubbing/soaking with a stain remover and then washing as normal.
3Fingers Surf Zinc has melted in my car. Have I destroyed it?
No, it’s not destroyed. You can reset 3Fingers by putting it in a cool spot until it hardens up. All the team here at 3Fingers leave the product in the car as 99.9% of surfers do; we understand accidents can happen. All we can say is find the coolest spot in your car to store. The optimal storing conditions are under 25degrees Celsius. Try not to let 3Fingers melt repeatedly, however!
