Hey Marie,
It would be fine to use the Far Infrared Smart Electric Heater on a carpet, however we would recommend sitting it on a rigid surface, as the stand on the heater is metal and if dragged or knocked, could damage the carpet.

Under normal voltage, the Far Infrared Smart Electric Heater's carbon fibre tube will last for approximately 5000 hours.
We don't currently have the spare part in, as with all we've sold in the past couple of years it hasn't been necessary, but we are working to bring this in with our next order.
The tubes are a little tricky to replace, but we're always happy to lend a hand here at Pestrol.

The 4 modes on the Far Infrared Smart Electric Heater are preset temperatures, but you can manually adjust the heater to different temperatures using the remote or touch controls on the base of the unit. The 4 cubes all light up at the same time, but the lower the temperature on the heater the dimmer the coil on the inside will be. You can use it in large rooms, or small rooms if you have the temperature set to low.
We actually use these heaters quite a bit in the winter time in our own offices!

The Far Infrared Smart Electric Heater's body is treated with an anodized anti-rust finish, and the front grill is coated with a powder anti-rust finish.
There is a built in cut off for the heater once it reaches 35º, once it's detected it's cooled down enough the heater will then turn on again, unless powered off.

The Far Infrared Smart Electric Heater is designed for use indoors, but it should be fine to use in an undercover patio area, but I wouldn't leave it outside permanently.

This is a beaut heater. Solid satisfying to touch metal housings around the 4 individually rotatable sections. Heats the whole living room in middle of winter (here in Naarm/Melbourne). The 4 settings are great depending on size of room. I often have it on setting 2 (only using 1200W) in my bedroom. Infrared heat feels grand, like sunlight heat on your skin, and is instant, beaut. Love having the flexibility of using my phone, can turn it on from the living room before I head off to bed.

Great looking heater and it warmes up entire room easily.
The heater works really well. However it is important to have a fan pointed at the base of the heater otherwise it will reach its max temp and cycle down, heat up, cycle down again. And the fan helps push the air out to the room.
It’s a great product.
Early days yet have not used it yet apart from getting it to work – it has not been cold enough to use yet, but so far so good
