DT Brown Snow Pea Seeds
The DT Brown Snow Pea Seeds are best grown in colder temperatures and have a softer pod so they can be eaten whole. This variety produces a plentiful harvest and requires staking to provide support to the actual plant for growing. Harvest in 8-10 weeks.
How to grow
Sow these seeds between Autumn and Spring to avoid flowering during the period of frost. Prep the soil well with compost and/or aged manure. Plant seeds into trenches 15cm wide and 5cm deep in dark/damp soil in a zigzag pattern 5cm apart.
Fill it with soil and firm them down. Space rows 45cm apart and protect the plant from birds during the early stages of growth. A trellis will be required and should run north to south for maximum sunlight. Keep well watered. Choose a sunny position on well prepared rich soil. Seedlings emerge 7-10 days.
Additional fertilising is not required as legumes produce their own nitrogen.
Regular harvesting will result in continued yields.
