Soil and Microbe Booster

Soil and Microbe Booster is an organic fertiliser made purely from insect manure which is why it is full of essential nutrients and good microbes. The main ingredients are Biochar and Frass, among which the former is a charcoal-like substance that boosts the soil’s capacity to hold these essential nutrients. Frass holds up to 200 times more nutrients than compost and worm castings.

Biochar has been produced with the intent to improve the quality of soil by increasing water holding capacity and microbial activity. On the other hand, Frass provides the most essential nutrients like nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium in a ratio of 4:2:2, plus, other trace nutrients to help plants flourish.

Besides, insect exoskeletons have been added to the product in order to give your plant a natural defence mechanism against pathogens. Do not feel odd about the insect manure. It comes from black soldier fly larvae and that is why it is an excellent source of Chitin. Moreover, its production process is also carbon-negative. Chitin is shed during the production process and it helps defend plants from pathogens and promotes the microorganism population.

Both of the ingredients in the booster are sustainably sourced, carbon-negative and 100% Australian-made. Separately, Frass and Biochar help your plants become stronger, but, together, they are your plant’s super saviours.

Total nutrients: Nitrogen – 2.1%, Phosphorus – .8%, Potassium – 1.1%, Calcium – 6.5%, Magnesium – .7%, Sulfur – 0.3%, Sodium – 0.2%

Trace nutrients Aluminium, Boron, Cobalt, Copper, Iron, Molybdenum, Manganese, Nickel, Selenium, Silicon, Zinc

Frass Bacteria and fungi cell count: 240 million colony-forming units (CFU) per gram.

Top Dressing

Add 1-2 teaspoons sprinkled around the root zone, once every three months.

Blending into Potting Mix

Add between 0.1 and 1 parts Soil and Microbe Booster to 10 parts potting mix. Mix through well before potting

For Compost

Add between 0.1 and 1 parts Soil and Microbe Booster to 10 parts compost.
