With ever increasing reports throughout Australia like below: its no wonder that companies are trying safer, cleaner methods of controlling rodents.
New breed of “super rats”, immune to poison and too smart to get caught in traps has invaded Sydney, the Daily Telegraph reported. Australian Museum naturalist Martin Robinson said: “A lot of suburban rats have been baited for as long as Sydney has been settled, so many populations have become immune to those baits. One of the interesting things is that when they become immune to the bait, they can actually become addicted to it.”

HOW DOES IT WORK?
ELECTROMAGNETIC
Electromagnetic Pest Control utilises the existing wiring within the walls of your home or building by simply sending a pulsing or shifting signal through the wires, this is tuned to irritate the pests nervous system. The signal is turned on and off at set intervals so the rodents and cockroaches will not build up a tolerance. Electromagnetic vibrations from the unit are picked up by the rodents and cockroaches. Making it difficult or impossible for them to gather food, breed and build their nests, and communicate with each other. As a result, your home becomes an extensive pest repeller and all rodents and cockroaches will want to escape and stay away.
ULTRASONIC
Ultrasonic pest control utilises a high-pressure ultrasonic sound that is higher than the human hearing range. The Pestrol Rodent Free technology emits a disorienting pulse that startles and frightens away cockroaches and rodents from your home or office. Using a variable pulse generator, Pestrol Rodent Free emits fluctuating sound waves so pests don’t get accustomed to the sound. The Pestrol Rodent Free will need to be plugged into a powerpoint approximately 0.2 metres from floor level in order for the ultrasonic to run along the ground, living rooms and hallways. Ensure the unit is placed in an unobstructed area for the ultrasonic waves to achieve maximum coverage- ultrasonic waves do not pass through solid objects and or turn, bend around corners
IONIC
This unit has a very small Ionic Generator that is well known to assist in the reduction of odours and smells. The limitation with this component is that it will only work in a small area from where the unit is plugged into the wall.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How many units do I require for my home/office?
For maximum effectiveness, it is recommended to have 1 unit per electrical circuit that is present in your dwelling. Often multi-story homeowners purchase 1 unit per floor.
What happens if the lights stop flashing on the unit?
The Pestrol Rodent Free alternates the technologies so the rodents and cockroaches do not become immune. Therefore the unit switches on / off for maximum effectiveness.
Will the Pestrol Rodent Free affect my pets?
No, Pestrol Rodent Free has been used for many years by thousands of satisfied customers in Australia and NZ. Will not affect dogs, cats, birds, or fish as they have a different genetic structure to rodents and cockroaches. The ultrasonic sounds can in some cases be heard by cats and dogs. Pestrol Rodent Free cleverly allows the user to shut off the ultrasonic component of the unit, whilst keeping the electromagnetic technology running.
How long will the Pestrol Rodent Free last?
There are no moving parts in the electronic circuitry, we expect the unit to last up to approximately 10 years, and we also provide a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty.
I have Rodents in my roof and wall cavities, do I need to plug the Pestrol Rodent Free in these locations?
No, providing your plug the Pestrol Rodent Free into any powerpoint, the electromagnetic technology will work through your electrical wiring that reaches into these cavities to repel Rodents from their hiding places.
Has the Pestrol Rodent Free been electrically tested?
Yes, the unit has passed all electrical testing. Will not affect any electrical equipment or WIFI products.
The unit has worked really well, however, I just spotted a rat or mouse; does that mean my unit has stopped working?
No, remember the first time you purchased the unit it can take up to 7-10 days to remove rats and mice from your dwelling. Rats and mice are always on the move and if you get a new infestation it can again take 7-10 days to get rid of the new intruders.
Does it matter what side of a double-sided wall socket I plug my Pestrol Rodent Free unit into?
According to our customer experience and advice that has been provided by electricians. The results are better if the unit is plugged into the left-hand side.
How much electricity does the Pestrol Rodent Free consume?
Pestrol Rodent Free costs the same as running an 8 watt light bulb, equating to cents per month to run.
Is the Pestrol Rodent Free effective against Possums?
Whilst this technology has not been associated with repelling Possums, many customers have experienced favourable results in driving Possums from their homes.

Bought 2 units under duress, was extremely dubious as to their efficacy. Much to my surprise they exceeded expectations! No mice = happy wife!
The only downside was that I was hoping that they would persuade the local bats to move out of the roof, being flying rodents & all, but they don’t seem at all phased by the units 🙂
This is amazing. Not a mouse to be heard or droppings seen.
So far, I think it’s been working. 🙂
I put it in the shed (together with the Portable Ultrasonic Pest Repeller) and haven’t seen mouse activity/mess inside.
We don’t know how effective it is and there was no manual with the product to tell us where is the best position. I rang the Company and said there was no manual and the response was “what do you want to know”. We have plugged it in the bathroom but don’t know if that is the most effective position. Poor customer relations.
prompt delivery and the product eradicated my issue with rats effectively
I had very high hopes when I purchased this as it had become clear we had the beginnings of a mouse plague.. I optimistically plugged it in and then as promised the activity did indeed increase and at one point a mouse jumped out from behind the curtain above my kitchen sink and I nearly died, I had marked the date on my calendar for when it was suggested all activity should have ceased, and as a few weeks went by and the issue didn’t even seem to be settling at all I was beginning to think I had wasted my money and would have to get professionals in, however I am happy to say today is the day marked on my calendar and it has now been 4 days since I have seen, heard or found any evidence of a mouse!! So to anyone wanting to write it off, I recommend that you just be patient and trust the process!!!
Does the job well
I now have 5 units running throughout my large 3 bedroom house. I have found that one unit covers no more than 3 rooms within its proximity. The newer units flash constantly and its difficult to tell if they are working. I have two units that have been running continuously for 15 years. I definitely recommend the product. It got rid of my rats that were scratching in the ceiling. I think some rats get accustmoned to the units so the units have to be where there is electrical wiring to be effective. Good product. Prefer the old units which have alternating lights.
Device took 2 weeks to be delivered, and has been plugged in ever since, and still continue with traces and sightings of a mouse late at night.
Has not detered them .
Great product thank you
So far so good
I have used this product for 5 years, brilliant for rodents
Although I had not seen one or any evidence of them and my cats had not caught anything, the way they keep looking around the laundry and peering under the fridge convinced me that there were mice in my house. Mice traps failed to catch anything so against my better judgement and in desperation I purchased a Pestrol Rodent Free Device.
Now I must say I had hope but was totally sceptical that it would work. Although the lights flash, it works on 3 technologies you cannot see, hear, or feel (Electromagnetic, Ultrasonic, and Ionic). Feeling I had probably been ripped off I decided to give this gadget the benefit of the doubt and waited.
To my astonishment right on the 4 weeks as they predicted it all happened – much to the delight of my two cats, the mice they had been hunting for the past 2 years were suddenly visible. In one week, they have caught and disposed of 4 mice from my laundry and kitchen.
Forget the Pied Piper – just buy one of these and all you need is a little patience and you will be rewarded.
Hi, so I’ve had the rodent device plugged in for 3+ weeks and have not noticed a difference. How long does it normally take. I can still hear mice in the roof. Is there something else I can try. I have the device plugged in to an adapter that’s plugged into the wall. Does that make a difference?
Works well
Goodbye Possum
Have not seen anymore mice in the area we put the unit in. They have migrated to other areas.
We Have only had the unit for around a month, it seems to be doing what it is ment to do.
